[Enews] A Thanksgiving message from the President & CEO Barbara Ann Heegan

Dear Members,

This Thanksgiving Thursday as many will be traveling to visit family or picking up family or friends from airports, you’ll have traffic hassles, weather conditions and family drama. There will be football games you gather around the family room and fireside to watch, the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade, and the start of holiday movies and music. Somebody in the family will be sick, perhaps very sick, we will be thinking of them for a speedy recovery and a baby will make you laugh. Your family traditions will be alive. Colleagues from the office will head home to weekends that seem better or worse than yours. Putting this all in perspective, Remember the words of that great American philosopher, Pink. She ended her song with the same chorus 23 times: “. . . These Are the Good Old Days . . . ” Not convinced? Download Carly Simon’s 44 year old fave “Anticipation.” Same ending. As you bow your heads and raise your glasses to toast remember we have so much to be thankful for. It’s all good. It’s all life. We should be grateful for it all. I’m grateful for you. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your Families. We keep Moving Forward.

Best Wishes

Barbara Ann Heegan

President & CEO

NEW Cross-Channel Marketing Program, ShopLocalOtsego

OTSEGO COUNTY, NY (11/18/14): Central New York Mobile Marketing (CNYMM) of Hartwick, NY and the Bishop Printshop in Edmeston, NY have partnered to offer a new cross-channel marketing program: ShopLocalOtsego.com. ShopLocalOtsego.com pairs collaborative Every Door Direct Mail programs with a weekly email marketing campaign and additional traditional and non-traditional marketing when possible.

The Program, ShopLocalOtsego.com, is currently in the ‘pre-launch’ stage – subscribing shoppers to receive emails and businesses to send messages and offers through these emails each week.

Otsego County residents are encouraged to go online and subscribe to our email list to receive information on local offers starting at the end of November for our Small Business Saturday launch on 11/29.

Although the holiday direct mail opportunity is closed out, businesses can still sign up for the digital promotion program for a great introductory rate of $49 for the first three months, accessing the list of local shoppers through the ShopLocalOtsego weekly email campaigns. Businesses in the program will have first access to additional direct mail and other marketing opportunities when they are announced.

All sign ups (shoppers and businesses) are taking place online at http://shoplocalotsego.com. For more information contact Susan O’Handley at CNY Mobile Marketing, (607) 643-5680 or Joel Staples at Bishop Printshop, (607) 965-8155.
