Internal Revenue Service COVID Update

Internal Revenue Service COVID Update

Dear partners:

Yesterday the IRS posted Filing and Payment Deadline Questions and Answers  The Q&As address the federal filing and payment extensions to July 15th due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. They also include information on the additional extension to Oct. 15th, first quarter estimated tax payments, IRAs and HSAs. For those questions that are not addressed in the Q&As, please know we are working hard to provide answers as quickly as possible.

We also have a new IRS.gov page on mission-critical functions of the IRS and provides an overview of changes related to IRS operations and guidance for taxpayers during this period.

We will continue to monitor issues related to the COVID-19 outbreak, and post updates on our special coronavirus page at IRS.gov/coronavirus.

I’m sending this because you were part of Steve Ingraham mailing list. If you no longer want to receive emails please let me know.

Thank you for your patience and support!!

Everyone stay safe!!
