After great consideration, The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce it is moving forward with its annual tradition to host its 34th Annual Chamber Classic Golf Tournament at the Oneonta Country Club on Thursday, August 20, 2020, with a 1:00 PM shotgun start and catered by Roundhouse Pub and Grill featuring their popular specialty assorted lunch wraps as a boxed lunch. We hope that you are able to join us as friends and colleagues, in camaraderie and celebration. The event will follow all Social Distancing Guidelines and Safety Protocols. The Oneonta Country Club is following all USGA touchless protocols on the course and have their carts treated with Bio-ProtectUs.
We will continue with our generous prizes for the top three teams in each division, games of skill, gift certificates from local Chamber member restaurants, event holes, and door prizes are all part of the fun.
A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to the Community Foundation of Otsego County. The Community Foundation of Otsego County was created in 2019 with the mission of improving the quality of life for all of us in the Otsego County area. It was about to publicly announce its formation when COVID-19 attacked. Rather than wait until the emergency passed, the Board of the Foundation decided that now is the time of greatest need and the Foundation must take a leading role in addressing the challenge. Their long-term goal is to aggregate financial and human resources to help solve the problems facing Otsego County. They distribute awards to nonprofit organizations in our community and partner with them to reach solutions.
The 2020 Chamber Classic is about friends, networking, golf, sunshine, perseverance, and fun!
