City of Oneonta Marketing Committee Initiative
MISSION:
The Strive then Thrive marketing committee is looking for an aggressive and innovative way to expand economic development outreach to encourage Alumni (SUNY Oneonta, Hartwick Colleges and Oneonta High School Alumni) to relocate to live in City of Oneonta, Grow Downtown Businesses and Invest in the City of Oneonta by sharing our story of what makes Oneonta a great place to live, work and raise a family.
VISION:
The renaissance City of Oneonta, New York is a lively cultural, educational and lifestyle hub. An affordable, safe college town with a strong sense of community and vision for the future, Oneonta has the best of what life has to offer. With fresh air, clean water and open starry skies, we sport outdoor activities such as fishing, kayaking, plus over 40 miles of biking and hiking trails right from your backdoor.
Located in the Foothills of the Catskills alongside the Susquehanna, Oneonta has easy access to the I-88 corridor and is only minutes from the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame. Oneonta invites you to experience its quaint, yet quirky downtown spiced by vibrant arts, shops, cultural attractions, restaurants, live music venues and history with new residential options in the heart of it all.
SCOPE OF PROJECTS:
A $30K budget has been allocated to this initiative to cover a 6-9month campaign using local and or 3rd party talent from Media Strategy, Digital Content for Social Media, Website Updates and Public Relations. (does not include media buys and placement).
In developing a campaign, the Marketing Committee for looking for the following assistance: Please submit a proposal for each category separately that includes Media Strategy, Digital Content for Social Media, Advertising Buys, Website Updates and Public Relations.
1 *Media Strategy
Develop creative and highly visual digital messaging that shows why a move to City of Oneonta is a good business decision.
We are aiming to represent this with a visually fresh and creative approach incorporating video and visual assets obtained and approved through the DRI initiative.
2. *Digital Content for Social Media
Utilizing products developed in our media strategy showcasing local inventory (Videos, photograph etc.) To create social media campaigns.
3. *Website Updates
To update Explore Oneonta.com with a landing page of content that describes the Strive then Thrive Initiative that includes community partner links such as Otsego Now, Destination Oneonta and The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce.
4. *Public Relations
To generate awareness and free press around our Strive then Thrive marketing campaign. Targeting audiences identified above in our Vision Statement and using our assets of “Quality of Life” why someone would want to live, work and grow with the City of Oneonta.
*All parts of this project must incorporate materials created by Trampoline for the “We’re Onta Something” marketing campaign adjusting messaging based on our target audience.
