Dear Members,
We are excited to announce that recently, the Chambers of Commerce of both Cooperstown and Otsego County Chamber have been working in collaboration with Colgate University and Pathfinder Village to create a survey that is part of a larger project to develop innovative opportunities for employment for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, as well as to potentially address some of the workforce challenges in the region. In a few days’ time, a link to this survey will be sent to your inbox, and we hope that you will take the time to complete it. It will not last longer than 5-7 minutes. Its aim is to help increase understanding of local business engagement with the intellectual and/or developmental disability community. We have begun this initiative to develop more effective programs and outreach, and ultimately to help improve quality of life for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in Otsego County. Participation is entirely voluntary, responses will be kept anonymous, and no identifying information will be collected. If you choose to participate, the person who completes the survey should be the one at your business most familiar with hiring practices and company finances. We hope that you will choose to complete this survey, and that you will give your thoughtful, honest responses. We sincerely thank you for your time and wish you all the best in this upcoming summer season.
Best,
The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce
