Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) Recruits Students for 2015
WHAT: The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) starting this January 6, 2015. YEA! is a yearlong program that guides middle and high school students through launching and running their own real businesses or social movements!
YEA! is open to all students in grades 6-12. While in the Academy, students will receive all the necessary tools to launch their very own real, legal businesses! This includes access to valuable resources like attorneys, accountants, business mentors, and graphic designers; plus, an audience with investors for REAL start-up cash. Students will even have the opportunity to win college scholarships.

WHEN: Both program and scholarship applications must be postmarked byDecember 19, 2014. This is the application deadline for the YEA! Class of 2015. The selection process is competitive and applicants are urged to apply!
WHERE: YEA! classes will be held at Hartwick College from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. on Wednesdays.

Monday Dec 1 and Tuesday Dec 2 – Annual Gingerbread contest. Drop off on Monday 3-6 at GOHS, Tuesday 9-11 at KeyBank. This years theme is Winter Wonderland.
Winners are announced at the tree lighting
Thursday Dec 4th – Annual tree lighting. 5.30 to 8. Tree lighting @ 6PM. Musical entertainment in the plaza and at the city hall end of the street. Horse wagon rides . Cider and Cookies and ALPACA’s. Kids events by OWL and Oneonta YMCA. Events @ GOHS. Santa in his cottage.
