Bresee’s Open House
On Wednesday March 19th, Klugo Oneonta, LLC will be hosting an open house event and tour of the newly redeveloped Bresee Department Store. The former Bresee Department Store, now Klugo’s Parkview Place, had for many years been a central hub for the City of Oneonta; bringing business and economic support into the community. But like many Main Streets in America, urban sprawl had left the Bresee Department Store building and the central neighborhood vacant and neglected. We are excited to announce that this important historic building has been restored and rehabilitated to function once again as a central part of the downtown community.
The open house will be held at 10 a.m. at Klugo’s Parkview Place located at 155 Main Street in Suite D (Printigree) and will include a tour of the building and a small reception. We hope you will join us as we celebrate the completion of this project.

Leadership Otsego Now Accepting Applications for Spring 2014 Class
February 25, 2014, ONEONTA, New York: The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Executive Service Corp is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the Spring 2014 class of Leadership Otsego. Leadership Otsego was started in 1997 by the Future for Oneonta Foundation, Hartwick College, The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce, SUNY Oneonta and United Way of Delaware & Otsego Counties.
Participants have the opportunity to build their personal networks as well as understanding of local challenges and opportunities by interacting with numerous presenters. Since its start in 1997, Leadership Otsego participants have heard from nearly 150 area experts.
Numerous Community leaders will be covering topics to include Commerce and Trade, Education, Healthcare, Government, and Leadership.
Applicants range from entry-level managers to top administrators, from newcomers finding their way to long-time residents rediscovering the area, from young adults just starting out to empty-nesters and retirees, from those who call Otsego towns “home” to commuters along the county line.
Leadership Otsego alumni represent a variety of ages, occupations, employers, interests, and hometowns throughout the county.
The kick off dinner will take place at Stella Luna on a Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 6:00p.m.. Reservations are required. Application Deadline is April 1st.

The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to be sponsoring the 2014 Job Fair on Wednesday, April 2nd at the Holiday Inn, State Route 23, Oneonta, set up from 11:30 am – 1 pm. A box lunch will be provided for one person and additional box lunches may be purchased at $10 each. The Job Fair will run from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Please fill in this Registration Form if you wish to participate. A $60 registration fee ($40 for Non-Profits) includes table, chairs and linens. Space is limited, so please send in your registration form with fee payment as soon as possible. Electrical access is limited and will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. You must bring your own extension cords. (Outlets may be as far as ten feet away.) Please inform us if you have a large display so that we may assign you a booth against a wall.
