The Annual St. Baldrick’s Fundraiser Event in Oneonta will be held on Saturday, October 12th at the Red Jug Pub at 195 Main Street, and you are all invited to participate, donate or even spread the word about this awesome foundation!

Last Call for Small Business Awards Nominations due today
The Otsego County Chamber’s Small Business Banquet has grown to become one of the region’s most important events, recognizing small businesses that have sustained the workplace and the community. This year the Small Business Banquet will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at The Otesaga Hotel and Resort in Cooperstown. In this season of gratitude, let us thank worthy small businesses for their contributions to the region and celebrate their commitment to excellence. We invite you and members of the public to offer your nominations for two prestigious awards.
Attached is the nomination form with past award recipients recognized. The Special Projects Committee of the Chamber looks forward to receiving these nominations by Friday, October 11, 2019.
Hops for History! October 19
The Greater Oneonta Historical Society (GOHS) presents its 4th annual “Hops for History!” on Saturday October 19. The event is in cooperation with Cooperstown and Northway Brewing Companies and seven downtown eateries.
The day begins at the History Center, 183 Main Street, with wristband pickup and a beer sampling preview between 4 and 5:30 PM. Between 5 and 8 PM, ticket holders will visit the Autumn Café, b side ballroom & supper club, Fiesta Mexican Grill & Cantina, Hill City Grill, Red’s Ale House & Grill, Simply Thai, and Wise Guys Sammys for a tasting of a Cooperstown or Northway product and a food pairing prepared by the venue. To end the night, ticket holders pay half the cover price for the b side’s evening entertainment –- the “heavy soul” of the John Scarpulla Band – 9 PM till closing.
Tickets, for sale at the History Center, are $25 per person in advance and $30 on the day of the event. The ticket price includes a commemorative pint glass. Only 125 tickets will be sold. All proceeds from this fund raiser will benefit GOHS.
