Dear Members,
Today Sunday, April 27, 2014 Laurens Central School is hosting the TREP$ Marketplace 1:00p.m.-3:00p.m.at the school located 55 Main Street in Laurens. TREP$ stands for Entrepreneur and this year The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee chaired by Bob Escher and co-chair Kelly Zack-Decker expanded the TREP$ program modeled from the Cooperstown Central School Program. This program was introduced to us by Carolyn Lewis and Carina Franck of Cooperstown that are parents and community leaders. This program is sponsored by Mang Insurance. TREP$ teaches students how to write a business plan and launch a product of their own and promote it to the community. It is exciting to see firsthand our future business leaders right here in Otsego County! This program will continue each year and was expanded also this year to Milford Central School. Next year we will be adding additional schools around Otsego County. This strong network of students is a true asset to our business community! The Otsego County Chamber Education Committee is pleased to advance these educational opportunities to ensure the success of our youth working as partners with our schools, communities and area businesses.
In Spirit of Collaboration and in efforts to all work in the same direction, The Otsego County Chamber members have been invited to a very informative meeting with some great guest speakers:
